2026 ESGAA Men’s Gaelic Football Program

The Essex Shillelaghs GAA (ESGAA) Men’s Gaelic Football Program returns in 2026 with an exciting, community-focused format designed to welcome new players, re-engage returning athletes, and build toward competitive opportunities.

Registration & Fees

  • West Orange Residents: $50/year
  • Non-Residents: $60/year

Spring Pub League (Recreational)

The 2026 season will launch with recreational play in West Orange, structured as a Pub League featuring local partners including The Shillelagh Pub, St. James Gate and Danaher’s.

  • Unified Weekly Training:
    All registered players will train together once per week beginning in March, focusing on skills development, fitness, and team play in a fun, social environment.
  • Spring Match Play:
    Starting in April, teams will compete in 7-on-7 recreational matches, culminating in the crowning of the Spring Pub League Champion.

Summer & Fall Opportunities

Based on player interest and availability:

  • Additional Summer and Fall recreational seasons may be offered.
  • If sufficient interest and qualified players emerge from the Pub League, ESGAA may field a Junior B team to compete in the NY GAA Fall Season & Championship. Additional fees for participating may apply.

    Annual registration covers participation in all applicable divisions and seasons during the 2026 calendar year.
